I am writing this because I feel that I owe an explanation to Era's players for leaving the staff team.

As of late, the environment on Era has made it hard to be productive. There have been several times where I've nearly quit already because of all the drama. Everybody claims to hates it, but nobody seems to want to address it.

A staff team cannot function when members of that team are unwilling to assume good faith and discuss disagreements respectfully. Another member of staff and I have repeatedly come in conflict, to the point that intervention from management has been needed twice now.

I refuse to work on a server where the environment on RC is one of open hostility and childish name-calling. I have attempted to bring up the subject several times with Tim, but he has ignored it.

Whether or not you like me or would have sided with me, everyone should be able to agree that disruptions caused by head-butting are counterproductive and make it harder to focus on the actual issues.

I'm not asking for anybody to be fired. I'm asking for management to say without rolling their eyes that we're here to make a game, not to fight, and that a staff team free of conflict is central to that goal. If you polled the remaining staff members, I think that most of them would agree.

I wouldn't work on a real-life team where members of that team refuse to respect each other, and I won't work on a Graal team where that is the case. My only regret is that the server will miss out on the updates that I have been working on.

Not sure what exactly is going on internally, but this is a great loss. In both development pace and prowess. Era was moving at a pace I hadn't seen in a long time and everything was looking awesome. I really wish this could be fix somehow and that brief "golden age" of development could be extended further.

Oh well.

I guess we're back to having no updates of consequence again!

Here on era, we do have a lack of leadership. This issue should have been addressed maturely. In consequence the server has once again lost a great developer only trying to push great content to you players.

Please do not tell me this issue is this grave and could cost us TWO great developers. That is absolutely preposterous! What ever it is, it needs to stop. =/ We were just getting Era back on track with weekly updates and more content than we'd ever dreamed of.

Still magnificent to know all this came from a few developers while undergoing such hardship. Kuddos to them.

There are many people who hate Chris, or just don't like him very often. But that doesn't change a thing about him being a great developer who has done great things for Era lately.

Chris was one of the few people developing! It's kind of funny, thinking if Bluemenlon left aswell, whats era? a pig pen where you abuse the few kids finding joy in the game? A rut that has no near end? Honestly, Put people in power that can lead. We'll be seeing a few more resignations in the near future.

Oh, because I get banned, I don't have anything good to put out? I get banned, a lot. Some reasons valid, some not. I deal with it and move on. You just keep pushing though. Anyways, I've talked to members of the era staff team, and they have said they don't have the same drive, and I really don't blaim them. Speak your mind, get shut down. It's communist Russia, but luckily you can leave.

It's what happens when a bunch of amature game developers try to work on a game/server. Often the ones that are on the right track are shot down by ignorant members in the group. It's incredibly stressful to work with ignorant, lazy and uncooperative people in the group, I've experienced it many of times before and I hope I wouldn't need to again in the future.
