| I got really bored of reading the arguments (tim's shining moment of honesty aside) but..
Do none of you remember the OLD reason that mining in playerhouses wasn't allowed?
Encouragement of hacking/exploiting -- private mines in houses means you can exploit the game however you want with drastically minimized risk of getting caught doing something wrong.
This would mainly be a benefit to macroers, no? Nobody can see you macroing, how can they report it?
To the argument that will rise -- PRs doing their job -- Sure, PR's can check the playerlist every five minutes to see who's in their own personal mines, and check on them invisibly like they do. However, that's a ton more hassle than just checking the public mines alone.
We have a constant playercount of 60-100. Maybe ten of these people are mining at a time (15 if you want to be an asshole and argue higher). There are already more mines than there are demand for them..you want to make it so people don't annoy you, make it so people can't steal your rocks.

| Last I checked its impossible to steal someones rocks unless they are afk/retarded. If anyone tries to mine your tnt they are just helping you.
If you are talking about the mines being stolen with a new tnt, well too bad so slow thats the name of the game.
Every money making activity on era comes with some risk, mining has the least risk so if all you have to worry about is some newb trying to deebo your mines then let it be.
Most newbs don't have the attention span to mine more than 1 tnt anyways. plus its not that big of a deal to just switch mines.
Rentable mines would just be a waste of scripting effort. |

Best mines, but SO FAR AWAY MAN... solution: dig a shaft in your house. |
