When I see developers (looking at you, Chris) dismiss legitimate concerns as a waste of time, and then this nuke bullshit happens, I have to wonder why Chris hasn't finished his killstreaks and left yet.

Essentially this is what the update entails:
-Unstick is about 1/4th the size it was previously
-Era now has a sickly green filter over it
-The trees are dead

That's it.

Anyone else feel like this was a waste of time?

Also, nukes have been sold in the EC shop for a pretty long time. Why is it that we are just now experiencing a "nuclear apocalypse" and where is the nuclear winter that theoretically accompanies a nuclear apocalypse?
And the structures in era are essentially unharmed?
The animals in the zoo are alive and well?
No radiation poisoning?
No evidence of an explosion or crater of some kind?

Ehh... I just logged off after I expressed concerns for my fps being lower than usual when experiencing the player effects (shit that makes everything/nicknames/characters look gray/green) he added and he said he would increase the effects and laughed.

Seems pretty pointless, I'm sure they have something else stupid planned to go along with it that will fail upon execution... but as-of now, you shouldn't alter the game play or appearance and make the effects un-toggleable. Really pisses a lot of people off.

There's still a lot of areas/npc images and what not that haven't been touched, PyroTech is still standing storng.

Plus now a lot of items I had in my storage at my house are now invisible to me. I contacted a PR because it appeared someone had gotten into my house and taken my things. :/

I don't see how this is an issue, this is quite possibly one of Era's best updates.

This is not really something I can control. I didn't invite the nuke attack.

Uh, of course the benches are gone Nuke "event" Oo. We were nuked.

Frankly, we're lucky the buildings are even still here.

PyroTech still stands strong, please fix invisible items and house furniture though.

Shut up, you're starting to annoy me and you spelled *poisoning wrong.

This is absolutely not that big of a deal and obviously temporary.
I read your concerns and I, myself, think "whine whine whine because most of my ideas are rejected but these ideas make it through".

Quit it, its petty and its ticking me off.
I read these posts hoping that you'd pit some legitimate concerns up for once but every time, my hopes are shout down with a bitch's squeal.

It's encouraging to see fluid, persistent efforts at innovative developing, but I feel like here, it's misplaced

Idle is claustrophobic as fuck right now, also

I doubt this took much, if any, effort.

The only two things of substance are:

- Trees (New Graphics)
- The Tint of the Screen.

Other than that, there's not much else.

The trees are recycled graphics from an old Halloween event.

The main purpose of the event was to make unstick me PK for the weekend. A lot of people have said they enjoyed this-- it's just been the vocal minority which opposes any and all changes, as usual.

I understand that you are not good at/interested in PKing or gangs, but the majority of the server is.

It's interesting that the people who complain about every change are often the bitter ones (normally from being fired, etc.) who don't really even play the game. As a former "Creative Director", I'm sure you of all people understand the importance of ignoring these kinds of trolls and focusing instead on content. This is our goal on Era Nuke "event" Smile.

Sure I do, but if you're going to do a nuclear apocalypse, you could at least do it right.
A color filter and dead trees doesn't make a nuclear apocalypse.

Nothing on Era is blown up or irradiated. So how did it become green?
There's no evidence of an explosion anywhere.
There's no back-story. Era has no enemies to nuke it, since it seems to be just a city in its own little world, let alone motivation to do so.
There's no terrorist group in Era that would construct and detonate a nuke.
All there is are dead trees and a riot squad at unstick.

I should ask whether YOU have a role-playing soul.

Hey Fiber-- we appreciate your comments as always, but I think you're missing the point of the event:

Again, we understand that PKing is not your thing, but there is no reason to deprive the rest of the server of it. Nuke "event" Smile

I don't see how any of you have room to complain about updates. We used to go months at a time without any updates of any kind. If you really want something done, do it yourself. Seriously, learn how to script like I did and actually help out the server like I did instead of just complain all day. If not, then quit your bitching and find something constructive to do.

Not all of us are willing to suck Gabriels penis (or yours, which in-turn sucks Gabes) to be staff on Era and do anything. Sorry, I got shit done without staff powers plenty of times without learning to script or submitting myself to PWA... it's just a huge pain in the ass and I'd rather complain about the stuff you guys do wrong than do anything myself at this point. Since anything more seems like a big hassle.

We as players help out the server by playing it, maybe you as manager should help out the server by managing it for once. It's not our job to do your job.

Kudos though, you used the oldest excuse in the book.
I'm surprised it didn't say somewhere in there about 'we don't get paid to be staff' or something.

Ehh... pale

I think it's obvious we don't get paid, I play this game for fun and I really don't even play, I mostly spend my time developing and managing the server, any extra time I have if any I spend doing stuff for the server. It's actually funny though, I remember when everyone would just sit around and complain that nothing ever got done. Now things actually get done, yet it's still not good enough.

it was just a weekend event to make things interesting. if you didn't like it, that's fine, but I think you should seriously learn to appreciate the work that's put into the server regardless if it effects you or not. not every update is going to cater to every single player on the server. that's unrealistic and impossible.

A lot of people seem to like Justin Bieber too.
Does that mean he's good?
Does that mean if you don't like him, you aren't entitled to have an opinion?

This is America.
