Graal down

Subject: Graal down Mon Jan 28, 2013 11:40 am

Just about to play gang events and boom, server is down. Log on to find not only era, but player worlds is all down?

Has uni forgot to pay the bill or what?

Surely you can't ddos all player worlds at once?

It's weird, but hosted playerworlds are still up (Shaded Legend has 60+ players).

Don't have it, I made blue add the gmap and I did everything online.

Even if I made a new gmap, I was almost finished.. just adding links :p

Surely you can't ddos all player worlds at once?

I mean technically a ddos could bring all those servers down as they're all on the same machine.. would make sense because the hosted servers/private servers (most of them) are on a separate machine.

Pretty sure they aren't on the same machine, it's servers they run off. Era server is different from zods and UN. I know that for sure.

When they ddos attack last time, only era was effected.

If i'm not mistaken, the last double xp weekend. Something similar to this happened and we had to extend that to.

Apparently UN, Zodiac, Zone, Era and Login are all on the same server which doesn't exactly make sense for it if it was a ddos considering the login server continued to be up the whole time

They are on the same machine, not server, hence why you have different latency when you go on UN then go on era. The last ddos attacked that happened, only brought era down. And you could log in, then it would disconnect you right away again.

However, this obviously isn't a ddos attack.
